Morning Musicals A
Syracuse area classical music organization since 1889. They currently
sponsor a free recital series every Wednesday at the Everson
Museum in Syracuse, New
York, as
well as the Sundays in Recital series (ticket prices on their website)
Cortland
Repertory Theatre I was fortunate to work on Music Man and Fiddler on the Roof
with CRT.
The enthusiastic audiences more than made up
for the run of rainy weather we had!
Fireside Theater A wonderful dinner theater out in Wisconsin a couple of hours north of Chicago. Well worth your audition time.
Full Cast Audio A book-on-tape company started up by popular children's author Bruce Coville (My Teacher is an Alien, The Ghost in the Third Row, etc). Daytimes during the run of Music Man found me working with Bruce, Tamora Pierce, et al on the audio book version of her book Wild Magic, the first book of The Immortals series. Rather than one person doing all the characters, Full Cast uses, well, a cast of characters and a narrator. I loved working on this project!
Open
Hand Puppet Theater Open Hand Theater worked in conjunction
with
Syracuse Opera on The Magic Flute in the Spring of 2004. The effects
they developed were pretty cool for this challenging production.

The
Diction
Domain
If you have any diction questions at
all,
this site will at least have a link to sites where you can get
information
- I even found info on pronouncing Middle English when I was
researching
a song cycle for my recital. You can also find fonts for your computer
- I found a bunch of *free* Cyrillic fonts for my independent study in
Russian diction one semester. You can even satisfy your curiosity about
Tolkien's languages and Klingon.
Gutenberg Free ebooks - I even found literature by Eleanor Glynn. If you know your Music Man movie trivia, you'll know that Shirley Jones tells Hermione Gingold "Wouldn't you have your daughter read The Rubaiyat of Omar Kayyam than Eleanor Glynn?" They have her works. Who knew?
